Ingredients for this Sriracha Tofu Recipe
- 1 – 14 oz package extra firm tofu block
- 3 Tbsp blue agave sriracha
- 3 Tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
Method for making sriracha tofu
- Press out water from extra firm tofu.
- Make marinade by mixing blue agave tofu, sesame oil and garlic powder. Brush marinade over tofu.
- Heat up a cast iron skillet with olive oil or avocado oil.
- On medium high heat, cook all sides of the sriracha tofu for 3 minutes or until it starts to get a crisp brown color on the edges.
- Once cooked on all sides, place on a plate lined with paper towel to soak up any excess oil.
- Brush with any leftover marinade and then serve.
I also like to make sure to use organic extra firm tofu. There are a lot of myths about tofu and I’m here to clear the air on this delicious meat substitute for those who choose a more plant-based lifestyle.
